Didi sings “What Becomes of The Broken Hearted”: judges comments
After singing a very emotional and personal song tonight on Idol-”What Becomes of The Broken Hearted” here was what the judges had to say:
Randy-”yo–I love this song–but this whole performance kind of flat-lined for me”
Ellen-”Alright I’ll boo myself booo– It was dramatic and I love your voice and i’m a fan but i felt it was WAY dramatic and not your best”
Kara- “It’s overdone girl–you’ve changed since hollywood and I don’t know who you are anymore– you’ve lost your way”
Simon-”It was like swimming in jelly–it was SO over the top, so old fashioned so off melody- it just didn’t do it”

Didi Benami is safe and has made the top 10- ensuring that she will be on tour this summer with the rest of the top 10 on American Idol. Congratulations Didi!

Didi sings Play With Fire on Rolling Stones night
For Rolling Stones night on American Idol’s top 12 Didi sang Play With Fire. Here was what the judges had to say:
Randy: “Yo–Rolling Stones, one of the greatest bands in history– you picked Playing With Fire and I think for the first time in weeks -YOU were on Fire tonight!- That was one of your best performances in a long time!”
Ellen: “You have an amazing voice, i love that you lost your way and even though it could spin you out you didn’t let it. I though you sounded great”
Kara: “Sometimes when you push on your vocals you lose your way a bit but tonight I saw an intensity you attacked the song with and there’s something very compelling about the sweetness of your voice and the intensity you brought. So for me it’s two steps in the right direction. Very well done.”
Simon: “Ya know what I agree with what everybody said tonight. I like how you’re showing what kind of artist you’re going to be and I’ve been a fan of yours for the last two weeks. It was another solid, not brilliant performance. I think you can still do better then that.”

Didi makes the top 12!!
Didi was the first contestant tonight to find out her fate and it was a good one! She has made the top 12! The first week of themes will be the Rolling Stones– Good luck Didi!!

Didi sings “Rihanna” by Fleetwood Mac
Didi took to the stage tonight with her guitar and very little backup signing or backup music. After her performance of Rihanna by Fleetwood Mac here were the judges comments:
Randy- It was a whole lot better then last week that’s for sure– he thought it was lacking a ‘wow’ moment but it was still a great improvment from last week
Ellen loved that even though she was torn apart last week she came out smiling and singing and did a tough song and overall good job
Kara thought it was one of her favorite moments of the show so far this season!! She was very worried when she saw this was the song she picked but Didi proved her wrong!
Simon had to agree with Kara. He felt it was head and shoulders above anything else we’ve heard toinght. He thought she was proving what an artist she was and he disagreed with Randy and said Didi did have a “wow” moment it was the whole performance!!
Way to go Didi!!!
